Effective Date: April 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Blink Photo Booth (“Blink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our mirrored photo booth services, attend an event where our booth is present, visit our website, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).

In Ontario, private-sector organizations engaged in commercial activities are generally subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This Policy is intended to help us meet our obligations under PIPEDA and other applicable laws.

“Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual. For our Services, this may include images (photos/videos) where a person can be identified, contact details (name, email, phone number), and event-related details when linked to an identifiable person.

We may collect:

  • Photo and video content: Images, GIFs, boomerangs, or short videos captured at the booth, including overlays, templates, props, and backgrounds selected.
  • Contact and delivery information (optional): Email address and/or phone number if you choose to receive digital copies.
  • Event and service details: Event date, venue, package selections, and customizations provided by the organizer.
  • Payment and invoicing information: Billing details required to process payment and maintain business records (payments may be processed by third-party providers).
  • Directly from you: When you use the booth, enter contact details for delivery, contact us, or book Services.
  • From the event organizer: Event details, branding assets, or guest instructions necessary to provide Services.
  • Automatically (website use): Through standard web technologies when you visit our website or gallery.

We use personal information to:

  • Operate the booth and deliver the photo booth experience.
  • Send your photos/videos to you when you request digital delivery.
  • Provide prints and online galleries when included in your package.
  • Communicate with you or the event organizer about service details.
  • Process payments, maintain records, and prevent fraud.
  • Improve our Services and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Comply with legal requirements and protect our legal rights.
  • Send marketing messages only where permitted by law and with appropriate consent.

We seek meaningful consent for collecting, using, and disclosing personal information.

By stepping into the booth and creating content, you consent to image capture for the purpose of delivering the Services at that event.

  • Optional delivery: You may decline to provide email or phone details and still participate. You may receive prints or access images through the event gallery, depending on the package.
  • Group photos: Images taken in groups may be shared with others in the same photo.
  • Withdrawing consent: You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. This may affect our ability to deliver digital copies.
  • Event organizer workflows: Some events may use specific gallery or sharing setups consistent with this Policy.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information:

  • With service providers who help us operate (cloud storage, email/SMS tools, payment processors), under protective agreements.
  • With the event organizer where necessary to provide deliverables included in the package.
  • Through online galleries (password-protected). Anyone with the link and password may view/download images, so please keep credentials private.
  • For legal or safety reasons when required by law.
  • During business transactions such as mergers or acquisitions, subject to safeguards.
  • We send promotional emails or texts only in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and with proper consent.
  • We do not use identifiable guest photos/videos for advertising, website, or social media without express permission from the individuals shown (or a parent/guardian). Event organizers cannot grant this permission on behalf of guests unless legally authorized.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary.

  • Photo booth media is typically retained for up to 90 days after the event to allow for delivery or re-delivery.
  • Business records may be retained longer to meet legal/accounting requirements.
  • Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards such as access controls, secure systems, and staff training. While no method is completely secure, we take steps to reduce risk and respond to incidents appropriately.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and technical limitations.

We may ask you to verify your identity and provide event details to locate records. For group photos, deletion requests are assessed case by case.

Children may appear in photos at family events. We rely on parents/guardians or authorized adults to provide consent where required. We do not use children’s identifiable images for advertising without parent/guardian permission.

Information may be stored or processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers operate. When processed outside Canada, it may be subject to local laws. We require providers to use appropriate safeguards.

Our website or gallery may use cookies to support functionality and improve performance. Third-party platforms used for galleries or delivery may collect information under their own privacy policies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective Date shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
